A mixed-use construction plan at 675 Progress Avenue, proposed as a high-density community with an intersecting linear park linking the two community park sites. The location is in the southwest of the Scarborough Town Centre. The southwest spot of the land is directly close to a fast transit passenger terminal, McCowan Station, and is bordered by municipally-owned land for school and park construction.
The proposal includes a high volume of commercial space, assisting the growth of a viable, mixed-use project on the site. The plan includes approximately 2.5 million square feet of mixed-use development and includes 2,455 residential suites, 300,000 square feet of commercial and retail space, car parking, service, and amenity areas. The project is planned to meet LEED Gold standards, with nearly 65% of the site consists of landscaped absorbent tops (including 70% green roof).
