Oshawa New Condos For Sale

Oshawa is the largest city in the Durham region and is considered to be the eastern-most part of the Greater Toronto Area. Although Oshawa isn’t as big as some of the other places in the GTA, it is one of the greatest to live in. As Toronto gets more and more crowded, the people that work there search for housing outside of the congested capital. Oshawa is only about 60 kilometers away from downtown Toronto and has everything you need to lead an exciting and fulfilling life. Luckily, there are currently a few upcoming pre-construction condos in Oshawa for you to consider if you are interested in moving or investing there. I’ll gladly introduce you to some of Oshawa’s most anticipated condo projects and show you why, as their motto says, you should “prepare to be amazed.”

Pre-construction Condos in Oshawa that You Need to Know About

While Oshawa isn’t known for having a lot of condos, there are a few beginning to pop up here and there across the city. If you’d like to stay ahead of the curve and be one of the first to own a condo for investment in Oshawa, you need to check out these new pre-construction projects.

  1. UC. Tower in Oshawa

Tribute Communities has been responsible for developing a few townhouse and condo projects in Oshawa already, and their latest project, U.C. Tower, is one of their biggest yet! Located in one of the most desirable areas to live in Oshawa, U.C. Tower will be a 25-storey condo containing nearly 500 units. From here, access to the 401, 407, and 412 will be quick and simple! This is an ideal condo for those who like to stay active: a fitness centre, yoga room, cardio room, and weight room are all in the works! Other exciting amenities include work space, a theatre room, and an outdoor dining and lounge area. This condo is slated for completion in 2022 and sales have already started. If you’re interested, I recommend registering for more information right now!

  1. Treehouse Studios in Oshawa

Treehouse Studios will be a low-rise 8-storey condominium building located in North Oshawa, created by Karmina Developments. This project is still in the planning stage and isn’t expected to be ready for occupancy until 2023, so you have plenty of time to consider it as one of your options if you are looking to invest in pre-construction condos in Oshawa. A study lounge, rooftop patio, and indoor gym are among some of the currently planned amenities. You can register here to keep up with the newest details as they’re released and be one of the first people to buy a unit when they become available!

  1. Total Towns in Oshawa

Did you know that townhomes can be considered condos, too? You can read more about what makes a “condo” a condo in this blog [hyperlink to blog on “A Condo can be More than a ‘Condo,’” previously written]. Sundance Homes is the mastermind behind this up-and-coming townhouse project. Total Towns will be situated in North-East Oshawa, allowing residents to take advantage of their close proximity to a wide variety of stores, restaurants, parks, and transit routes. If you’d like to begin investing in pre-construction townhomes, then this is the right project to start with. Sign up for registration here so you don’t miss out!

Why You Should Consider Pre-construction Condos in Oshawa

There are plenty of things to think about when considering whether a condo in any particular area will be an investment worth your while. Some of the most important aspects that make Oshawa a great place to buy a pre-construction condo include its focus on education, transportation, entertainment, and shopping.

  • Education in Oshawa

When buying pre-construction condos, you need to consider what educational facilities are around. Any city with quality public and private schools, as well as college and university campuses, will attract people who will want to rent your condo. Oshawa has 32 public elementary schools and five public high schools operating under the Durham District School Board. The Durham Catholic District School Board also runs ten elementary and four secondary schools. Additionally, there are various privately run schools and Montessori schools to consider.

Oshawa also has three college and university campuses within its borders: Durham College, Ontario Tech University, and Trent University’s Durham-GTA campus. Together, these schools bring in thousands of new temporary and permanent residents to the city every year!

  • Transportation Services in Oshawa

Transportation is one of the most important services in the GTA since so many people travel to and from Toronto and its surrounding cities for work, school, and entertainment. The 401, 407, and 412 highways are all options if you prefer to drive, but there are plenty of other choices if you’d prefer to save yourself the stress of traffic and tolls. Oshawa GO has trains and busses going all across the region and beyond, and it only takes about an hour to get to Union Station! As for local transportation, Durham Region Transit operates a number of busses with convenient stops all throughout the area.

  • Shopping and Entertainment in Oshawa

Education and transportation are important, but having fun is also a necessity! Thankfully, Oshawa offers a ton of great places to shop and entertain yourself! The Oshawa Centre is Durham’s biggest indoor mall, boasting more than 230 retailers, services, and restaurants, such as Sephora, Indigo, Lululemon, Baxter’s Landing, and The Keg. RioCan also plans to open an outdoor outlet mall at the North-end of town by the winter of 2022, which will be very close to the pre-construction condo projects I mentioned above! Additionally, there are two SmartCentres that feature stores such as HomeSense, Walmart, and Best Buy, and restaurants such as Montana’s, Boston Pizza, and Swiss Chalet.

There is a ton to do besides shop in Oshawa! You could explore Parkwood Estate, the Robert McLaughlin Gallery, or one of the many other museums if you like art and history. Or, you could check out Lakeview Park: the beach is a huge hit in the summer, but the waterfront is truly great to walk along no matter the season. If you want fun for the whole family, NEB’s Fun World is the place to be; it houses a massive bowling alley, an arcade, an indoor playground, go-karts, amusement rides, a sit-down restaurant, and – soon – a roller rink! For a “small” city in the GTA, Oshawa has a lot to offer! For More About Oshawa New Condos For Sale, Register With Us
